Acorn Insurance’s learner driver policy is designed to enable a learner driver the ability to use their own or another’s vehicle for the purpose of tuition.

Unfortunately there are some instances of individuals or vehicles that we are unable to provide cover for under this policy. These are:

The Learner Driver

• Who holds any license other than a provisional license.

• Who has not been resident in the UK for a minimum of 12 years.

• Who has been refused or declined insurance.

• Who has been convicted of any criminal offence which must be disclosed under the rehabilitation act.

A Supervising Driver

• Who is under the age of 30.

• Who does not have a full UK license, or have held the full UK license for less than 5 years.

• Who has not been resident in the UK for a minimum of 12 years.

• Who has been refused or declined insurance.

• Who has been convicted of any criminal offence which must be disclosed under the rehabilitation act.

The Vehicle

• Vehicles with a new or current value over £15000 for Comprehensive cover.

• Vehicles with a new or current value over £8000 for Third Party Fire and Theft Cover.

• Vehicles that are vehicle group over 35 (1 to 50 grouping).

• Any vehicles that are left hand drive.

• Any vehicles that have been modified from the standard specification.

• Any vehicle that has more than 7 passenger seats.

Declaration

I am confirming I have not had accidents or claims, and am also confirming I have no motor convictions or motor convictions pending.
